JJC Gets $1.2 Million Dollar Federal Grant To Help Students Achieve Higher Education – 1340 WJOL

Joliet Junior College is getting a federal grant of 1.2 million dollars to help 500 students each year in District 204, Joliet Central High School, who are either still enrolled in high school or have dropped out. The goal is to increase the number of youth from disadvantaged backgrounds to succeed in higher education. The program provides academic, career, and financial counseling to its participants and encourages them to graduate from high school and continue on to and complete their post secondary education.
