On Feb. 17, Illinois Gov. Bruce Rauner addressed the Illinois General Assembly and talked of the state’s future, as legislators came together to try and reach an agreement to implement a balanced budget.
He began his speech by quoting former president Abraham Lincoln: “The occasion is piled high with difficulty, and we must rise with the occasion … We must think anew and act anew. We must think anew and act anew.”
